西青开发区成立于1992年，规划面积150平方公里，建成面积22平方公里。位于天津市区南部，交通便利，紧临梅江生态居住区，生活设施齐全。

     Founded in 1992, Xiqing Economic Development Area enjoys 150 sq.km planned area and 22 sq.km building area. It is, with facilitate traffic advantages, located in the south of Tianjin, closing to Meijiang Ecology Residential Community. This area possesses sound living establishments.

      经过17年的发展，开发区注册企业830家，累计吸引资金80亿美元，其中包括世界500强企业18家。形成了完备的基础设施和生活配套条件，在电子信息、汽车配套和生物医药上形成了三大主导产业。2004年被纳入国家首批电子信息产业基地。

     After 17 years of development, there are 830 enterprises, including 18 world top 500 enterprises, had registered in this area, accumulated introduced capital of 8 000 000 000 US$. Sound infrastructures and living matched conditions had been formed with three leading industries of electronic information, vehicle parts and biological medicine. In 2004, it has brought into the state first electronically information industry base.

      目前，西青开发区正在积极推进服务外包区和软件园建设，打造新的产业高地。

     At the present time, Xiqing Economic Development Area is actively promoting the construction of service outsourcing and Software Park to create new industry highland.
